This year's Watson Challenge is scheduled for June 7th-9th at The National Golf Club of Kansas City. The First Tee of Greater Kansas City is the big winner of this event. The Watson Challenge has donated well over $312,000 to The First Tee. The areas forty-eight best golfers will meet at The National Golf Club of Kansas City to once again determine Kansas City's best golfer.
NEW this year, we have the opportunity to have our participants be Standard Bearers at this wonderful event! We are looking for 16 young people that are at least 14 years or older and currently in the Birdie, Eagle, or Ace Level of our Certifying Program. You must be able to commit to Friday's 1st round along with Saturday or Sunday to be eligible (must commit to 2 rounds). Remember, we only have 16 spots to fill and they will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Don't wait to submit your sign-up form if you are interested, these will go fast! In addition to Standard Bearers, The First Tee will also need volunteers to help staff the hospitality/ticket sales booth at the event. We encourage parents and kids to sign up together by contacting Ellen Fisher at efisher@thefirstteekc.org. Each shift is about 2 and 1/2 hours.
