The Capitol Federal Foundation has awarded The First Tee of Greater Kansas City a three year, $45,000 grant to support the expansion of our In-School Program.  The In-School program is on target to serve young people from 20 area schools in the 2008-09 academic year.  The program concetrates on schools in the urban core.

The First Tee of Greater Kansas City Executive Director, Pat Zuk, commented, "We are proud to have received this affirmation of our youth development mission.  It's an honor to be partnered with an organization with a long history of philanthropy and community service like the charitable foundation at Capitol Federal."

The In-School program utilizes adaptive golf equipment know as SNAG golf to bring our unique blend of Life Skills and Golf Skills to area young people.  Recently hired Director of Programming, Secah Shahib, said, "The kids are very enthusiastic and look forward to golf class.  We really want to thank the Capitol Federal Foundation for allowing us to increase our In-School Program four-fold this year."
