Golf in Kansas City Schools

The First Tee wants to see all kids have the chance to play golf. Our National School Program has 35 locations, mostly in the Kansas City Kansas Public Schools and Center School Districts. We are super excited to have been asked by the Midwest Section PGA to help manage and oversee their own in-school golf program, SNAG-a-School. Below is a brief overview of each way The First Tee is involved in your community and bringing golf to children in Kansas City schools!

PGA SNAG-a-School  

The First Tee life skills development meets a SHAPE certified curriculum for teaching golf in PE class with the SNAG Equipment A SNAG (Starting New at Golf) Curriculum designed to introduce as many kids as possible to the game of golf
Helps students build character and confidence through the positive personal and social values associated with the game Teaches kids the fundamentals of the golf game in a progressive, incremental manner.
Make the positive values of golf a part of the classroom and the students’ everyday lives Makes golf a less intimidating sport to get into and understand.
